The injection-molded scales of the Sage 5 Lightweight trim its weight and add the enhanced traction of a Bi-Directional Texture pattern. This elite version of that design raises the bar even further by showcasing a blade crafted from our proprietary CPM SPY27 steel. Developed in close cooperation with Crucible® Industries, SPY27 supercharges the proven composition of VG-10 stainless steel with additional alloys and Crucible Industries’ state-of-the-art particle metallurgy manufacturing process. The full-flat-ground blade of this knife is supported by a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners housed within fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales.
